All Voting Members, Associate Members, Student Members and Affiliate Members of the Association, regardless of type of membership, shall:
Be eligible to vote in State and Federal elections or be a permanent resident of the United States …
Not have been disbarred from any state bar association; and …
Live or work in the State of Missouri, or perform work for and be supervised by an attorney licensed in the State of Missouri.
All memberships are renewable on January 1 of each year.
Voting Membership: A voting member of the Association shall be employed as a Paralegal (as defined herein) and meet one of the following criteria:
Baccalaureate degree in or with an emphasis in Paralegal Studies; or …
Degree in any field PLUS a Paralegal Certificate obtained from an ABA accredited or approved school or approved by the Association; or …
Associate degree in or with an emphasis in Paralegal Studies PLUS one year of Paralegal Experience; or …
Associate degree in any field PLUS a Paralegal Certificate obtained from an ABA accredited or approved school or approved by the Association, PLUS one year of Paralegal Experience; or three years of paralegal experience.
Voting Membership Dues: $66 annually.
Associate/Student Membership: Voting members who are not employed as paralegals at the time of dues renewal, or paralegals who are not eligible for voting status may belong to the Association as Associate Members.
Associate/Student Membership Dues: $48 annually. (See Voting Membership requirements, above.)
Affiliate Membership: Any person interested in supporting the Association and who qualifies under Article 3.2, General Membership Requirements of the Bylaws of the MPA may become an affiliate Member upon payment of Annual Dues.
Affiliate Membership Dues: $70 annually.
Sustaining Membership: Any partnership, corporation, LLC, or other entity interested in supporting the Association may become a Sustaining Member upon payment of Annual Dues.
Sustaining Membership Dues: $150 or $250 annually.
$150 level – Company or individual’s name appears on MPA’s website under sustaining members pull down menu; they receive all emails that MPA sends to MPA members; company or individual’s name is listed in MPA’s seminar agenda as a Sustaining Member.
$250 level – Company’s ad appears on MPA’s website for the year with a link to their website; they receive all emails that MPA sends to MPA members; company is listed in MPA’s seminar agenda as a sustaining member.

To retain status as a Voting Member, Paralegals shall obtain six hours of CLE annually. This may include in-house presentations, local association seminars, or other MPA approved training. MPA offers members an annual meeting and training seminar to meet the annual CLE requirement.
